Since complex data sets are being collected, bioinformatics have been added to the renewal of former Core B. New bioinformatics functions will be developed in order to analyze complex biological relationships, and these new functions will be incorporated into present bioinformatics tools. Mainly being provided with this Core is:

  • Leadership structure,
  • Coordination of research, and
  • Facilitation of communication throughout the center.

Also within Core C are the roles of convening the External Advisory Committee as well as coordinating the interdigitations of research in the projects and cores through the Internal Steering Committee. Cores A and B as well as Projects 1-3 are provided with comprehensive data management and statistical analysis services, overseeing of experimental design, and support and administration of pilot research projects.
